Increase Traffic With Link Building

Encouraging natural link building to your website can be a painstakingly long process, but on the whole there is no better way to maximize the amount of traffic you receive from other sites and search engines.

The biggest thing you want to remember when working to Increase Traffic With Link Building is that quality links are much more important than just getting a large quantity of them.

Are You an Active Internet Memeber?

You are going to want to find other sites where people who may be interested in your website hang out, and start up a communication with them.

Do things like comment on popular blogs, where you can get more involved and make friends and followers. You can also look at QA type sites like Yahoo Answers and answer any questions about your topic that people have.

Give good advice, and make sure you add a link to your site so people know where to find you.

Looking for the Right Blogs

One thing to remember is that many blogs make it so that any links on their pages are 'nofollow', which is a way to help prevent spam comments.

Search engines like Google, when they see this attribute, will not give you any credit in their results pages for that link. You will still get regular traffic to click through though.

Are You Submitting to Directories?

You also will want to submit your blog to any number of online directories, the most popular on being Yahoo! Directory.

Some of these directories are free, but some will charge you an annual fee to put you on their site. Do your research to see if people have seen any result from paying them.

Linking Structures

Look at your internal link structure of your own site. Make sure the most important pages have the most links going to them. If you reference another page anywhere, be sure to add a link to it.

Finally, stick to links that can actually be helpful to other people. Adding a whole bunch of links from random sites can be viewed negatively at Google, and will not help you at all.
